賽銭箱の隣に置いて有り、300円を投箱して来ました。

1639年……古墳丘上に喜多院多宝塔を建立
1912年……道路新設のため古墳を削り取る
♪原型をとどめず僅かに一部分現存

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日枝神社の境内地であったようだが喜多院前の
道路建設に伴いその大部分が消滅した
現在は方墳部の一部のみ残存
また喜多院の多宝塔が消滅した後円部頂にかつて
建っていた事から多宝塔古墳とも呼ばれていた
残存している方墳部には日枝神社の境内から登れるが
冬場以外は草が大変
頂上部には古墳の由来を記した看板と神社、神木の
由来を記した看板がある
他に上からだと日枝神社本殿がよく見えるので
見たい方には登るのがお勧め
