★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 記念園というにはかなり小さなスペース。東北大学片平キャンパスの極一部、交差点の傍らに記念碑が有ります。旧東北帝国大学時代にその設立に尽力、学長を務めた小川博士の碑です。この先に記念館も有ります。
大学、裁判所など周囲はあまり都市開発をされにくい環境ということも有り藩政時代の石垣や通りの名前に名残が有ります。また、こにの地域は伊達藩の重役の屋敷が並んでいたため大名通りとも呼ばれていました。古地図好き、歴史好き、伊達政宗公好きにもおすすめなスポットです。
A fairly small space for a memorial garden. There is a monument near the intersection in a small part of the Katahira campus of Tohoku University. It is a monument to Dr. Ogawa, who was instrumental in its establishment and served as president during the former Tohoku Imperial University. There is also a memorial hall ahead.
The surroundings such as universities and courts are in an environment where it is difficult to develop cities, so there are remnants of the names of stone walls and streets during the feudal era. In addition, this area was also called Daimyo-dori because the residences of the executives of the Date feudal clan were lined up. It is a recommended spot for those who like old maps, history, and Date Masamune.
