天平行列、子ども力餅大会、フリーマーケット、餅投げなどがあり、地元の子供たちが楽しみにしています。
The Sanuki Kokubunji Historic Site Festival is held in November every year.
Local children are looking forward to the parallel row, children's power rice cake competition, flea market, rice cake throwing, etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 天平13(741)年に聖武天皇が各国に官営の僧寺と尼寺をたてるよう命じられた。その僧寺跡が金光明四天王護国之寺(讃岐国分寺跡)です。現在も讃岐国分寺は四国八十番札所として参詣者て賑わっています。
現本堂は鎌倉時代中期頃の建物で国の重要文化財に指定されており旧講堂跡の上に再建されたと推定されます。境内には金堂跡、塔跡の礎石がほとんど残っています。地境などの痕跡から昭和27年には全国にある国分寺の代表的遺跡として東西330メートル南北227メートルを国の特別史跡と指定されました。
昭和58年度～昭和61年度にかけ史跡整備に伴う発掘調査を行い、その成果を受け昭和59年度から保存整備事業を行いました。
これまで僧坊、築地塀などのさまざまな遺構整備を実施している。国分寺跡を総合的に理解出来るような施設の整備を図ろうとしている。

In the 13th year of Tenpyo (741), Emperor Shomu ordered each country to build a government-run monk temple and a nun temple. The ruins of the monk are the Kinkomei Shitenno Gokokunoji Temple (Sanuki Kokubunji Ruins). Even now, Sanuki Kokubunji is crowded with worshipers as the 80th Shikoku Fudasho.
The current main hall is a building in the middle of the Kamakura period and has been designated as a national important cultural property, and it is estimated that it was rebuilt on the site of the old auditorium. Most of the cornerstones of the ruins of the Kondo and the tower remain in the precincts. In 1952, 330 meters east-west and 227 meters north-south were designated as national special historic sites as representative archaeological sites of Kokubunji nationwide from traces of the ground.
From 1983 to 1986, we conducted an archaeological excavation for the maintenance of historic sites, and based on the results, we started a preservation and maintenance project from 1984.
So far, various remains such as monks and Tsukiji walls have been maintained. We are trying to improve the facilities so that we can comprehensively understand the ruins of Kokubunji.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ よく手入れされた復元史跡で、広大な敷地には往時の建物の配置がよくわかるように、復元展示されています。
当時の10分の1の縮尺で再現された伽藍の配置模型は、どっしりとした石造りで、創建当時の威厳を示すものです。
僧坊跡及び覆屋の建物については内部が自由に見学できるようになっており、当時のお坊さんの生活と僧坊の建物の柱跡の展示がされています。
ただ、梅雨晴れの正午前に行ったので、閉め切られた建物内部はかなりの暑さでした。

However, since it was the morning before the rainy season, the inside of the closed building was extremely hot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一部復元された壁や、小さなスケールの模型などを見てると、しっかりした構えに当時の天皇の命により作られたらしい凄みを感じましたが、小さな山々に囲まれたのどかな雰囲気もあります。周囲に花々があり、その花々で詠んだ当時の和歌の数々が添えられてたりして、天気の良い日などに散歩するのも良さそうです。
Looking at the partially restored walls and small-scale models, I felt the awesomeness of being made by the order of the emperor at that time, but there is also a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by small mountains. There are flowers around, and many waka poems from that time are added, so it seems good to take a walk on a sunny day.

There is a full-scale restored building of a stone model made on a 1/10 scale. I think it will be quite spectacular among the ruins of Kokubunji in Japan.

歴史や史跡めぐりが好きな人ならとてもお勧めできる場所だと思います。
当時の寺域がはっきり分かるようになっており、1200年前の僧房の礎石がそのまま保管されています。礎石は建物内で保護されているものもあり、僧房が半分復元された状態を見ることができます。当時の空気にふれたような気になれました。
寺のあった場所を何気なく歩いていると、当時の人も見たであろう周囲の山々の風景をいつも以上に美しく感じました。飛鳥奈良時代に思いをはせることができる素晴らしい場所だと思います。
近くにある資料館も充実しているのに料金100円と大変リーズナブルです。近隣には讃岐国府跡もあり、当時、讃岐の国の中心地だったことを肌で感じることができます。

If you like history and historic sites, I highly recommend this place.
The temple area at that time can be clearly seen, and the cornerstone of the priesthood 1200 years ago is preserved as it is. Some cornerstones are protected inside the building, and you can see the priesthood half restored. I felt like I was touching the air at that time.
When I casually walked around the place where the temple was, I felt the scenery of the surrounding mountains that people at that time would have seen more beautifully than usual. Asuka I think it's a wonderful place to remember the Nara period.
Even though there are many museums nearby, the price is 100 yen, which is very reasonable. There is also the site of Sanuki Province in the neighborhood, and you can feel that it was the center of Sanuki Province at that time.
