★ ★ ★ ★ ★ お盆の時期(通常は8月16日)になると、寺の総代の皆さんにより、川に舟を浮かべ、火をかける「舟っこ流し」を行っている貴重なお寺です。舟はそのへさきが龍の形をしていて、藁で作られます。お盆を過ごしたご先祖達を送り出すため、最後に火をかけ、舟は川の上を進んで行きます。とても幻想的な送り盆の儀式です。
During the Obon festival (usually August 16th), the temple's presidents float a boat on the river and set it on fire, making it a valuable temple. The bow of the boat is in the shape of a dragon and is made of straw. At the end, the boat goes up the river to send out the ancestors who spent the Obon festival. It is a very fantastic Obon festival.
