高円寺・寺院近くの廃屋の民家を大胆にぶち破って満開の花を咲かせる一本桜。どうしてこうなったのか知り得ないが、毎年、春になると通りすがりのみんなが笑顔で見上げていく隠れた桜の名所。不思議とエナジーが湧いてくるパワースポット。

A single cherry tree that boldly breaks through an abandoned private house near Koenji Temple and blooms flowers in full bloom. I don't know why this happened, but every spring, a hidden cherry blossom spot where everyone passing by smiles and looks up. A power spot where energy springs up mysteriously.

たまたま時間が空いたのでGoogleマップの名所旧跡を探していたら、高円寺の廃墟桜が目に留まりました。木造家屋の元商店の軒先に植えられた桜が店じまい後、一般家屋に改造された後もすくすく伸び、家屋が特定空き家になっても美しく咲き誇る巨木となりました。今にも倒壊しそうな廃屋ですが、こうした家でも長年の風雪や東日本大震災に耐えたのは何とも不思議な感覚がします。個人的にはぜひともこの風景は残してほしいし、せめて家屋を取り壊すときに桜や植え込みを守ってほしいとは思いますが…背後にある建物は重機の進入を許してくれないようで、おそらく取り壊しと桜の保存は両立しえないように思えます…。どうしても家屋を解体する場合は、上空からヘリコプターを投入したかなり大規模なものになると予想されます。ひとまず、難しい事は考えずに春の日はこの美しく大きなサクラを愛でたいと思います。

I happened to have some free time, so when I was looking for a famous site on Google Maps, I noticed the ruined cherry blossoms of Koenji. The cherry blossoms planted at the eaves of the former wooden house's eaves grew quickly even after being converted into a general house, and became a giant tree that blooms beautifully even if the house becomes a specific vacant house. It is an abandoned house that is about to collapse, but it seems strange that even such a house has withstood many years of wind and snow and the Great East Japan Earthquake. Personally, I really want you to keep this landscape, and at least protect the cherry blossoms and plantings when demolishing the house ... but the building behind it doesn't seem to allow heavy machinery to enter, so it's probably demolished. It seems that the preservation of cherry blossoms is incompatible with that ... If the house is to be demolished, it is expected that it will be a fairly large scale with a helicopter thrown in from the sky. For the time being, I would like to love this beautiful and big cherry blossom on a spring day without thinking about difficult things.
