み	みけねこ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三方を蓮池に囲まれたポッコリとやけに背が高い小山の山頂に社が祀られていらっしゃいますが，実はこの小山は「大井戸古墳」の後円部分で，元々は100m級，当地方最大級の前方後円墳だったのが，明治大正期に護岸工事の土砂採取のため削りに削られ（不自然なほどに峻厳な形なのはそのせいです），出土した太刀・鎧などの埋蔵品は偉い学者先生が東京に持ち帰って以降，杳として行方は知れずですとか。ヒデー！県道194号宍倉玉里線から真新しい鳥居をくぐって墳頂の境内への急な階段を上ると祠が鎮座していらっしゃいました。幾本かの樹木に囲まれた境内は草ぼうぼうでしたが，この時期は草の伸びが早いですからね。樹木の間からの見晴らしはなかなかのものですが．．．ハエの大群に襲われまして。ギャヒー！羽化の時期なのでしょうが，手水の雨水からか下の蓮池から大量発生なのか。体中がハエに覆いつくされて恐怖のハエ男になる前に大急ぎで参拝を終えました。 The shrine is enshrined on the summit of a hill that is so tall as to be surrounded by lotus ponds on three sides.
