★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With a western look and feel, kitchen hida serves great hida steaks. Of course the higher the grade higher the price. A little pricy but worth a try.
There are dishes(grill skirt steak & hamburger patty) with limited serving. Do pop by early to try them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great steak house. Perfect place if you want to try local Hida beef. Very good value for money. On a bit pricey side but worth the money. The house sauce is especially good. Goes perfect with the steak. I tried both A4 and A5. A4 is a bit leaner so may be easier to finish as a steak. Staff is very friendly and welcome to foreigner. If you arebin town, you must visit and experience the local Hida beef.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very good steakhouse. Prices are worth the quality of the beef. A small not so busy restaurant of the beaten path, it is worth the sidetrip as this is not located along the tourist road. Amazing experience to eat at this fine restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best steak i ever have in Japan. Pricey but worth it. Hida beef steak here is just so good. Very nice service and staffs are very friendly. Highly recommend if you visit Takayama.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here for the Hida beef steak as I heard this was the place to go. Several cuts of meat, all ranging in price, but fairly reasonable (comparing to Kobe beef). I opted for the filet and enjoyed it very much. It was a little fatty for my liking, but the taste was delicious and the meat just so tender. Worth the stop.
