★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 元々は、福島県福島市の信夫山山頂に有った神社。伊達政宗の仙台入封の際に、羽黒神社と、別当寂光寺を現在の仙台城二之丸付近に分祀（福島市の羽黒神社と寂光寺は福島に残る）したが、その後、仙台城の拡張に伴い、現在の場所に移築したと伝えられている。
その後、明治に入り、寂光寺は廃寺（福島のも）するも、羽黒神社は残った。
また、福島の信夫三山に倣い、月山と湯殿山が併せて祀られている
高台にあるので、眺めは良い。車の場所は、神社の隣まで行くと良いです（階段の下には停める所が無く、道幅が狭い）
