★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 清澄通りから木更木橋、亀久橋に至る一帯の桜は見事の一言。地下鉄駅からやや遠く、付近に清澄庭園や仙台堀川公園などがあるので外から見に来る人は皆無に近いですが、隠れた見所だと思います。
Cherry blossoms in the area from Kiyosumeri street to Kogetsuki Bridge and Kagu Bridge are splendid words. Slightly far from the subway station, there are Kiyosumi garden and Sendai Horikawa park etc. in the vicinity so people come to see from the outside are almost none but I think that it is a hidden point of view.

橋には材木問屋の風景などが描かれていますので、今となってはこの絵を見ながら昔を想像するくらいしかでき無いのですが…
桜の季節は「木更木橋」からの眺めはとっても綺麗です。

すごい桜並木です‼‼
川沿いにも歩道は有りますが、橋上から眺めるととても素晴らしい景色が見えます。
地方都市なら観光地でしょうが勿体ないスポットです。

実は桜が立派で、人も少なく悠々静かに鑑賞できる。
桜は川に向かってアーチを描き、桜のトンネルをくぐることができるので本当に美しく素晴らしい。
毎年桜の時期はここを訪れます。
