Gifu City Designated Historic Site Nagamori Castle Ruins (Kiritsujinya Ruins) In the old days of the Northern and Southern dynasties in 1339 (2nd year of the calendar), Tori Ryoen, a guardian of the Mino country, moved from Toki-gun (now Toki City) to Nagamori Castle and refurbished as a castle. After that, Toki became the castle owner for generations. In 1353 (Bunwa 2) Nagamori Castle became too small, so Toki Yoriyasu built Kawate Castle and moved its headquarters to Kawate Castle. Nagamori Castle is the owner of Toki Naoki. Mr. Toki will be based in Kawate Castle thereafter. It is unknown when the castle was abandoned, but it seems that Dozo Saito reigned in Mino and moved its base to Inabayama Castle. In 1755 (5th year of the Holy calendar), Nobunari Ando became the feudal lord of the Kano domain, but the following year, he was transferred to Mukinokuni Iwakidaira. Nobunari Ando will become the feudal lord of the Hira domain, but will eventually become an old man. This achievement will increase 18,000 stones in Mino. In order to govern this area, in November 1803 (3rd year of Kyowa), Kiritsutsujinya will be built at the former Nagamori Castle Ruins. After that, Mr. Ando will rule. Nagamori Castle is a Japanese castle from the Heian period, Kamakura period to the Warring States period, located in Nagamori Sho (currently around 6-chome, Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture) in Mino Province. After the abandoned castle, a Kiritsujinya will be built in the same area. It is said that in 1185 during the Bunji era, Nagamori Castle (currently Nagamori, Gifu City) was built by Shibuya Kinohmaru. In 1339 (2nd year of the calendar) during the Nanbokucho period, Toki Yorien, a guardian of Mino Province, moved from Toki-gun (currently Mizunami City) to Nagamori Castle and maintained it as a castle. The ruins of Kiritsujinya = the ruins of Nagamori Castle. It is said to have been the residence of Mr. Toki of Mr. Gen Mino until he moved to Kawate Castle.
