Neither of us are particularly artistically inclined, so I was concerned initially about the outcome, but the staff member helping us (Yamada-sensei) was lovely and kind. We loved it so much we decided to make the tart as well, and that could be used as a photo stand. All in all it was a great experience. We did everything in Japanese, but I feel that even without Japanese a lot of the steps are quite self-explanatory. So I wouldn't let that put you off. It was awesome and I will definitely be back. ♡ 山田先生、いろいろ教えて手伝ってくれてありがとうございます。とても楽しかったです！

About JPY700-800 per piece on average. They also offer a class to teach you how to make it. Generally for children, but my friends and I did it as adults. JPY900-1200 per 30-minute session per pax. Staff can only speak English minimally, but minimal English was needed for the lesson anyway. They teach different "sample food items" everyday. Go in the morning, put your name down for reservation, walk around and see the other nearby attractions first (SCMAGLEV and Railway museum) and then come back for the lesson.
