Start from Level 2 if you like spicy taste. Stir it with chopsticks over and over again, maybe 30 times or more, untill you see no soup under the bowl. I usually order it with egg and rice(small).

I found this place from an instagram foodie. Great Soupless Tantanmen, one of the best I've found in Tokyo. Highly recommended! Don't forget to order some rice with your noodles (they can soak up the oil once you've finished the noodles). Also, you can add szechuan peppers from the large containers on the counter, to get your dish as "numbing" as you like.

Price is good but location is inconvenient, noodles are way too hard and not enough flavor. You leave wondering whether you ate a expensive instant tantan noodle.

Spicy!! Hole in the wall with very simple yet tasty and spicy noodles. You get to choose your own spice levels and the noodles are done just right. Add an egg to the noodles and you can even add rice at the end if you’re still not full.

No soup tantanmen, Hiroshima style. Tastes quite good. You can taste the mala from the mixture. For 680, you get large portion of the noodle. You can order the spiciness level from 1 to 4. 2 is recommended. Drink is self service. Add another 100 yen for rice. You can mix the rice at the end to get tantan rice. No veggies at all. No tissue. There is a queue during lunch time, but the queue moves quite fast.

If you’re in Tokyo and looking for a quick lunch that is also quite a local experience, this place is great! Only one option on the menu (noodles with no soup) and you can control the spiciness level (starting from 2 the dish starts to be a bit spicy). Very cheap (~6$) and fullfilling!

Came here at 1pm on a rainy Wednesday - I had to line up for around 10 minutes and after me was a long line of people that didn't stop even after finishing. I went to the ginza one and though it was small it was very friendly making eating enjoyable. This place on the other hand has two grumpy Ramen guys which aren't happy in the roles. Would have gave 4 stars as I do like the shiru nashi tantan men but here service is horrible and eating becomes a choir vs enjoyment.

■English menu :not available ■Payment : cash and e-money available ■Guest Type: ・20-40yrd ・male:female=7-8:3-2 ・solo male, business, 2021.11.03 First time visit. There's only one menu, but you can choose the level of the spice, rice and porched egg as an option. This is called Shirunashi tan-tan men which is Tan-tan noodle without soup. It's famous in Hiroshima. It's better to follow the instructions on the wall. I attached the picture. Here is the points. 1, Mix the noodle at least 30 times. 2, Eat the noodle dipping with porched egg (like you do when you eat Sukiyaki) 3, Put an extra rice into the bowl after you finish eating the noodle.
