Kotohira Shrine is a long journey here at Katakura-juku (Kenkura is a post on the Mito Highway) during the transition of the sacred body from Koto-ra Palace of Sanshu to Oshu during the Koan year (1278-1287). The location is near the Kenkura intersection on Route 6, so you can already see the shrine from the route, so you don't have to worry about access.
