★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和8年(1933)から昭和中期頃まで運営されていた鉱山跡で岡山県吉備中央町下加茂地区の明神山から御津郡宇甘渓一帯にかけて採掘されていたそうです
詳しい閉山時期は分かりません
石英にレアメタルであるモリブデンが含まれていたらしく黄銅鉱、黄鉄鉱、自然蒼石、鉄マンガン重石、硅石等の鉱物が採掘され日本工業の発展に貢献した鉱山です
(株)満栄工業脇の山道から行けます
石垣で囲まれた削平地、沈澱池と思われるコンクリート槽、ガレ場、ズリ山等の遺構が残っており道中には至るところに石英が散らばっています
急斜面であり土砂崩れが激しく倒木や枯れ葉、鉱石が入り雑じり非常に足場が悪いので注意して下さい
山頂には坑道があるらしいのですが発見出来ませんでした
坑口らしき穴もありましたが土砂で埋没し判断出来ません
沈澱池付近には竪坑と思われる穴がありますので気を付けて下さい
かつては80人ぐらいの鉱夫が働いていたそうですよ

Please be careful as there is a hole that seems to be a shaft near the sedimentation pond.
