At least 4 doctors can speak English really well (3 for maternity check and 1 for infant care) but don't expect much for reception staffs since they mostly speak in Japanese (I found 1 English speaking staff only). Early appointment by website is recommended to avoid queue during busy days. This hospital supports 4D ultrasound scan and provides the parents with flashdisk/dvd for the pictures and video. The doctors and staffs are basically nice, but quite strict to patients. On the due date, a husband can accompany his wife until the baby is born. Postpartum meals were great, and they provided one-night celebration dinner for both parents. For muslims, there is only 1 female doctor at this hospital, thus make sure to check her availability before making appointment. If you plan to give birth at this hospital, make sure you have already enrolled national health insurance and prepare 100k JPY for the deposit. Kashiwa-city will provide an extra 430k JPY for childbirth lumpsum which will be subtracted from the total cost. If there's still balance, the money will be returned to you.
