弘安の碑は、弘安（こうあん）7年（1284）の年号が刻まれた市内最古の板碑です。法華経を守護する三十番神（さんじゅうばんしん）と、法華経を伝える人々を守護する十羅刹女（じゅうらせつにょ）の名が刻まれており、本来は経塚に建てられていた可能性が指摘されています。
