S	S Y on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The terrain was changed completely, the supposed "old battlefield" was just a small park. In reality, the 4th Battle of Kawanakajima was fought on the plains of Hachimanbara, the battle involved over 30000 soldiers, so the battlefield should be at least 2 to 3 km wide assuming both sides were deployed in closed formations. The park was too small, and there was no height anywhere around the park which does not correspond the historical records. Although a bit disappointing, it's still a nice park.

Apple-tree plantations, huge pine trees over the old shrine, local history and nature museum. Tasty soba-noodles in a traditional canteen nearby as well
