★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 水が枯れることを見た事がない弁天沼。山椒魚が生息しています。鶏頂山や釈迦ヶ岳への登山ルートの中継地点にあります。
Bentennuma has never seen water run out. Sansho fish inhabit. It is located at the relay point of the mountain climbing route to Mt. Keicho and Mt. Shakka.

石碑があり、信仰の程がうかがえる。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鬼太郎の家がありそうな場所に祠がある。釈迦岳山頂の眺望と比べればとてもこじんまりとしてる処の筈だが、朝に立ち寄ったのもあってか、神秘的な感じで印象に残った。
There is a shrine in the place where Kitaro's house is likely to be. Compared to the view of Mt. Shakadake, it should be a very small place, but it was a mysterious feeling because I stopped by in the morning.

人の気配を吸い取る不思議な道。かつて手入れされていた林が、人の手を離れるとこうなるのか…
西口登山口から高原山への経路として通過。弁天沼神社手前の林が、古道というか、蟲師に出てきそうな道。色あせた木々と色鮮やかな苔が、まるで画像加工を施したよう。
釈迦ヶ岳や鶏頂山よりも、途中のこの林の方が強く印象に残った。
手入れされていない感じの幹・枝ぶりの林だが、木と木の間には笹や石などは無く足元に不安は感じない。走れる林。山犬に追われ道無き道を逃げるヒロイン的な場面のロケに使えそう。
