 The old-fashioned atmosphere remains, and I was inspired to imagine that it was a means of transportation for people and carrying things on a boat from here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ かつて水運が盛んだった頃に湊が有った場所。今も住吉燈台が残り、説明もある。駐車場はないので、近くにある奥の細道記念館に停めよう。
A place where there was a kite when water transportation was prosperous. Sumiyoshi Kashiwadai still remains and there is explanation. Since there is no parking lot, stop at the nearby Hosomichi Memorial Hall.

舟にも乗ってみたいですね☺️
船町港は、江戸時代から明治時代にかけて?大垣城と桑名を結ぶ運河「水門川」の川港で物質や人の往来の中心であった。
近代になると船町港には、大垣ー桑名間の蒸気船が就航「明治16年(1883年)」したが昭和期に入ると鉄道等の陸上輸送の発達に伴い衰退した。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 松尾芭蕉が奥の細道の旅を終え、此処から桑名に向かった場所です。住吉灯台等、当時を偲ばせる情緒ある場所です。
This is the place where Basho Matsuo finished his journey through the back alley and headed for Kuwana from here. It is an emotional place reminiscent of those days, such as the Sumiyoshi Lighthouse.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ まずまず整備された川沿いです。 川が小さく、遊歩道も少しせまいので桜の季節などは混雑が予想されます。見所は川くらいしかありません。駐車場・駐輪場もありません。
It is a reasonably well-maintained riverside. The river is small and the promenade is a little narrow, so it is expected to be crowded during the cherry blossom season. The only highlight is the river. There is no parking lot or bicycle parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大垣から桑名に連なる水運の要衝として栄えた川湊跡。そして江戸後期に作られた住吉燈台。奥の細道の旅を終えた松尾芭蕉は、この地から伊勢に向け舟で川を下ったとのこと。川は整備されていますが、何となく往時の面影を残しており、水都大垣の象徴のような場所。景色も美しいです。
The remains of Kawaminato, which prospered as a key point of water transportation from Ogaki to Kuwana. And the Sumiyoshi Lighthouse built in the late Edo period. Basho Matsuo, who finished his trip to the back alley, said that he went down the river from this place to Ise by boat. The river is well maintained, but somehow it retains the remnants of the past, and is a place like the symbol of Ogaki, the water city. The scenery is also beautiful.

「水の都」大垣、水門川も凄く澄んだ流れ、周りの風情や趣も今もって往時の雰囲気残して素敵です✨
船町港跡横に住吉燈台・住吉神社やむすびの地/松尾芭蕉像も、「奥の細道むすびの地記念館」の駐車場利用して、水門川沿いのミニ奥の細道や美濃路散策は気持ち良く、街角に道標や城下町案内板を見て回れます?
