この史跡碑柱は昔、鎌田川にかかっていた雫橋を偲ぶものです。
六万坂と呼ばれた古戦場跡地近辺にありまして、旧小川町八景にも選出されています。
恐らくですが昔の橋ですから、小さいながらも木造か石造りの風情あるものだったのでしょう。
残っていないのがとても残念です。

This historic monument pillar is a reminder of the Shizuku Bridge that once spanned the Kamada River.
It is located near the site of the old battlefield called Rokumanzaka, and has been selected as one of the eight views of the former Ogawa Town.
Perhaps it was an old bridge, so it was a small but wooden or stone bridge.
It's a pity that there aren't any left.
