詳細は不明だそうですが、江戸時代よりこの地にお祀りされているそうです。
古くから難病と恐れられていた疱瘡（天然痘）をはじめ、皮膚病（できもの・腫れ物）にご利益があるそうです。
祈願するときは土の団子を供え、全快したときは本物の団子を供えて御礼詣りをするそうです。

中野通り沿いにある清岸寺内にあります。
敷地内入ってすぐ右手に赤い社殿が眩しいです。
お寺の中にあるパターンは初めてだったが、よくあるのだろうか?
