★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 住宅地に囲まれた駅。周辺にはバス停はなく、琵琶湖側の駅前広場にタクシー乗り場が在ります。歌川広重によって描かれた、近江八景『唐崎の夜雨』の舞台である唐崎神社は、この駅の東側の琵琶湖岸に在ります。
A station surrounded by residential areas. There is no bus stop in the vicinity, and there is a taxi stand in the station square on the Lake Biwa side. Karasaki Shrine, which is the setting for the eight views of Omi "Karasaki no Yorain" drawn by Hiroshige Utagawa, is located on the eastern side of this station on the shore of Lake Biwa.
