C	Christopher Columbus on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 名鉄広見線新可児駅が隣接している。 2つの駅舎の間には、JRの線路をくぐるための地下道がある。駅前には腕木式信号機が保存されていたが、2014年撤去された。駅舎の反対側には駐輪場がある。大型商業施設や官公庁などは比較的駅から遠い場所にあり、徒歩で10分程度要す。 Meitetsu Hiromi Line Shinkanji Station is adjacent. R	Renhideヒデ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 可児駅東西自由通路が完成して共用開始されました。この東西自由通路はすぐ隣に可児駅跨線橋が並列で併設されている変わった作りと成っています。エレベーターは東口と西口とで2機有りますが、可児駅跨線橋とエレベーターが共用と成っている為、改札内の可児駅跨線橋と改札外の東西自由通路とでエレベーターを使うタイミングが被るとエレベーター待ちが発生します。エレベーターの操作は表裏で改札内と改札外とで区別されています。エレベーターの使い方も珍しい独特の形と成っていますね。成る程、この手も有りか。と言った感じです。自由通路が完成したと言っても自由通路に改札口が有る訳では無くて、駅自体は東西自由通路と同時に作られたエレベーター付き（エレベーターは東西自由通路と共用）跨線橋が新設されてバリアフリー化された事以外は特に大きな変化は無いようですね。跨線橋も既存の階段オンリーの古い物は今も有ります。 The Kani Station East-West Freedom Passage was completed and shared.
