★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 金色姫伝説を追って、蚕影神社に参拝しました。老人施設「豊浦」のすぐそばにあり、神社の駐車場はありません。神社入り口石段となりにある私邸に駐車料金を払って止めさせてもらいました。約200段ほどの苔むした石段を登っていくと蚕影神社のお社があります。養蚕業が盛んな時は栄えたと思われる神社です。古代かなりの古い時代からここに人が住んでいたことを想像させる神社でした

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 階段登るとそこに神社が、、雰囲気は良しですが駐車場がどこにあるか分かりません(ToT)この時期はクモの巣が多いのと蚊が多いので虫除けスプレー必須です。御朱印は筑波山神社でもらえます。ここから筑波山神社に行くときはナビに注意です。主要道路ではなく生活道路に導く可能性があります。遠回りでも主要道路で行くことをおすすめします。

主祭神は和久産巣日神、埴山姫命、木花開耶媛命です。
創建は諸説あるそうですが筑波国造の創祀とする説が多いそうです。
境内案内板：成務天皇御（131-190年）
筑波国造阿閉色命の創祀。
金色姫伝説：欽明天皇御（539-571年）
筑波郡案内記：延長4年（926年）
筑波国造権太夫良平の創祀。
常山総水：崇神天皇御代（不詳）
蚕影山大権現として創祀。
など多数の説があります。
蚕影山信仰は、中世末期から養蚕業が日本の基幹産業であった昭和中期まで、長く現盛んであったようです。
しかし養蚕業の急速な衰退とともに信仰も衰退してしまったようです。
境内には壮麗な社殿に対して、急速な衰退の痕跡といえる茶店・休憩所の廃墟が今も残っています。
昔は参拝客で賑わっていたのでしょうね。
筑波山神社で蚕影山神社のご朱印がいただけます。
ちゃんとお参りしてからいただきましょう。

The ruins of teahouses and rest areas, which can be said to be traces of rapid decline, still remain in the precincts of the magnificent shrine.
It must have been crowded with worshipers in the past.
You can get the red stamp of Kokageyama Shrine at Tsukubasan Shrine.
