★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small mountain where super pros might get bored, but it's got nice snow when the nearby places don't, a decent enough park if you like rail slides, and 神の湯 onsen which is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fairly new ski resort but gets fairly crowded. The entrance, reception, waiting area is very well designed, very clean and to rental area carries good quality equipment.
The food in the KSR mid base was not really good. The cabbage in Tonjiru was old and smelly, the pasta was very average as well.

There are fewer lifts in operation during night skiing, but the lifts are fast, so you can get on the lifts with relatively little waiting. The restaurant is also open, so you can use it when you get hungry after skiing. The night skiing is open until the end of March. The quality of the snow is really good, so I highly recommend you try it out during the winter season!☃

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard it’s a good place to carve, freestyle and freeride for snowboarding, but it was pretty crowded during weekend, so couldn’t really enjoy it.
Hope I can come here again during weekdays to avoid too many people.

Free Bus service from JR Echigo-Yuzawa station to the resort(15 mins)
Usually less crowded than gala Yuzawa.
Less number of trails but overall highly recommended for beginners and early intermediate people.
They also have a mix of different obstacles and ramps for people who like various stunts, etc.

5 stars based on its convenient location from Tokyo, its superb view from the peak, its variety of slopes, and its good selection of lunch menu!!! The only drawback is the slopes will get icy if it has not been snowed for few days... be careful of the icyband.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not recommended for someone for the first time skiing ⛷ or snowboarding. ? But not that hard for who have already experienced twice or more. The best point here is it has wonderful view. Though some lifts are not in used but activated lifts are pretty fist I must say.
