★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 萬徳寺庭園は延宝5年当寺が移築された際に藩主の命により築造される書院の南面山畔を築山風に利用した埋石式庭園だということです。金剛界曼荼羅の庭園といわれ中央に約3mの巨石を守護石としてすえ、両脇に4個の小石を添えています。守護石は真言密教の本尊大日如来を表し、4個の庭石は、阿しゅく・宝生・阿弥陀・不空成就如来の4仏を意味し、斜面にある多数の小石組は、諸仏が座る蓮台で、小刈込のつつじ、さつきの群落は、大日如来のきらびやかな五彩を示しているということです。
Bundesu-ji garden is a burial-stone garden that used the mountain side of the south side of the shrine built by the lord's lord when building this temple for 5 years when used as a bayama style. It is said to be a garden of Mongara monasterya, about 3 meters in the center as a guardian stone, with 4 pebbles on both sides.
