Climb the stone steps of the main road from the city to reach it. It's a very atmospheric place.

横に水堀もあります。
立派な石垣が段々となって繋がっているのがよくわかります。
Visited in March 2018.
Ninomon ruins just behind the monkey stone in Takatori Castle.
There is also a water moat next to it.
You can see that the fine stone walls are connected in stages.
