203 m is the highest mountain in Kashihara city.
I have been playing in the mountains since my childhood, but at that time I did not know that there was a castle ruin.

It is the remains of a castle that is said to have been set up by Mr. Ochi, who fought with Mr. Tsutsui in the north of the Nara Basin and arrived in the South Dynasty during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. Takatori Castle, which was originally a branch of Kaibukiyama Castle, became famous as one of Japan's three major mountain castles in later generations, and many people visit it, but I think it is extremely rare. Please note that the area of this castle ruins may be included in the period of exterminating wildworms by exterminating pests.

It is located on the border between Kashihara City and Takatori Town. For many years, I thought that Mt. Unebi was higher, but this was the highest peak in Kashihara City. There is a triangulation station at an altitude of 209.9m.

Light mountain climbing for about 20 minutes one way. Although it is quite rare for a castle in Nara, the road is relatively well maintained. The tombstone should be marked by an old tomb. There is a signboard to the castle ruins around that. Please note that the first half of the road is relatively flat, but the second half of the road is a little steep and your feet are bad. The remains are the main ridge, the curved ring in the vicinity, and the earthen bridge on the way. There were many flat curved wheels on the way, and it was not possible to enter because it was bushy, but it was inevitable to assume that Coco was a castle with a large scale on the way to the mountain. is there. Although there was a castle monument in the main section, there were no explanation boards, as expected in Nara Prefecture. The scenery was not good due to the trees and the trees. I do not understand the whole picture because there is no conceptual diagram of the castle, so please forgive me that my description is only an assumption. It looks like a castle site that hasn't been investigated in detail, but why would it develop into a good castle site if it was investigated and maintained? It's a castle ruin with the potential to say that. There is no parking lot, but there is a wide road on the south side of the tomb and there is enough space to stop there. I strongly and severely conclude that it is a good mountain castle and can be recommended to beginners of the mountain castle, and it is a ruin of the castle that will give even advanced users a certain degree of satisfaction.

The castle that became the home of Mr. Ochi, a powerful family of Yamato. There is a wild boar trap at the entrance to the castle, and broken bamboo and trees were scattered during the climb, so be careful. The view from the top 210m is unexpectedly good, and you can see Mt. Ikoma and Mt. Nijo beautifully. There is also a handwritten bulletin board for locals at the top, which explains the history of Mr. Ochi.

I went to the site of Kaibukiyama Castle. There is a sign that is easy to understand if you enter the ridgeline of the mountain, but the sign for the climb to that point is not good enough, and even if you have it, you will want to call it Σ (Д ゚; /) /. With Tokuo-ji Temple on your right, go up the fork in a narrow residential area to the left. Beyond that, there is no turn and a straight road. There is a stone staircase at Kasuga Shrine on the right side of the way, but it is a dead end even if it goes up.
