如何にも、新潟の田舎の無人駅と言った感じの佇まいです。
見附市在住の私は毎年必ず、日本一美しい秘境ラインで有る只見線に乗ります。
経路上の最短距離に有る上条駅は、監視カメラも発券機も無い昭和の雰囲気を漂わせた駅舎です。
非電化の単線の棒線駅で有るこの駅は、都会の方が見たらとんでも無いど田舎の駅に見える筈です。しかも、ダイヤグラムが上下共に１日４本の超閑散区間です。
しかし、その素朴な田舎臭さが程好い雰囲気を醸し出しています。
周囲は田んぼと山に囲まれ、晩春から初夏に掛けては蛙の鳴き声が聞こえます。
晩夏から初秋に掛けては、美しい黄金色の稲穂の絨毯を楽しめます。
冬場は雪が降り、一面の美しい銀世界です。
美しい日本の四季を楽しめるこの駅の雰囲気は、私は大好きです。
但し、残念な事にトイレの老朽化が目立ちます。
２０１８年に一部が洋式便器に代わったのですが、昭和のおんぼろトイレでは利用客は幻滅します。
魚沼市長さん、将来的にはトイレを新築して下さい。

It looks like an unmanned station in the countryside of Niigata.
As a resident of Mitsuke City, I always ride the Tadami Line, which is the most beautiful unexplored line in Japan.
Kamijō Station, which is the shortest distance on the route, is a station building with a Showa atmosphere without surveillance cameras or ticketing machines.
This non-electrified single-track bar station should look like a ridiculous rural station to the city. Moreover, the diagram is a super quiet section with 4 lines per day both above and below.
However, its rustic countryside creates a nice atmosphere.
Surrounded by rice fields and mountains, you can hear frogs crying from late spring to early summer.
From late summer to early autumn, you can enjoy the beautiful golden carpet of rice ears.
In winter, it snows and it is a beautiful silver world.
I love the atmosphere of this station where you can enjoy the beautiful four seasons of Japan.
However, unfortunately, the aging of the toilet is noticeable.
In 2018, a part of the toilet was replaced with a Western style toilet, but the passengers are disillusioned with the Showa rag toilet.
Mayor Uonuma, please build a new toilet in the future.
