北	北書房 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 市内で発掘された縄文土器の展示にはじまり、橋野高炉の紹介、農業・林業で用いられた道具の展示、第二次世界大戦中の釜石艦砲射撃のビデオ解説などがあります。土器、鉄鉱石、艦砲射撃の砲弾など手に触れることのできるコーナーが数ヵ所あります。（拳くらいの大きさの鉄鉱石が2～3kgほどあり、けっこう重い）規模は小さめで、じっくり見たとしても30～40分くらいで一回りできる程度です。 Starting with exhibits of Jomon pottery excavated in the city, there is an introduction to the Hashino blast furnace, displays of tools used in agriculture and forestry, and video commentary on the firing of the Kamaishi ship during World War II. 海	海鉄道 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 地元の人でも、そこの歴史に触れたり出来る。地元を知ると言う意味でも良い。伝説のラグビーチーム　新日鉄釜石など、数々の歴史が刻まれている。私が生まれる頃は釜石はとっくに人口が９万も居ない頃だから、言葉で聞いててもイメージがつかなかったけど…昭和の時代の釜石の映像や写真を見ると、かつては釜石は９万人を超える人口で、県内第２の都市だったんだと言うことがホント伝わってくる。現在も釜石がそのくらいの街だったら、どうだったかな…きっと今よりももっと多く、大きなショッピングセンターとかが出来てたのかな…色々考えてしまう。 Even locals can touch the history there.
