Anyway, the ornamental Persian rugs are just too good! ️ The work made by two people over six years is a masterpiece. The unit price of meals is a little high, but I think that there is almost no option not to eat because art appreciation is free just by eating. You can appreciate the art while waiting after ordering, so there is no waste ? It's a highly recommended shop! ️

Evaluation is divided. It may be better not to enter as a food court but as an art museum. It is said that Mr. Tsurutaro came in at the time when Mr. Tsurutaro Kataoka's solo exhibition was held at the Hirafuku Memorial Art Museum nearby. There were a lot of other celebrity pictures that were attached to the entrance. A lot of carpets that seems to be oil paintings are wonderful, and if you are interested in paintings, I think that you visit once and have no loss. Because there are about four dogs I go and go over here, maybe I can not recommend it as a meal. However, because it is a well-trained dog, it is possible to sit down on a chair and shoot easily.

Vice President Wanko Good luck and welcome ? It was a museum where many works of art were exhibited in the restaurant, including paintings drawn on Persian carpets.

I thought it was Akita's traditional art, but I was surprised to see the carpet proud. I know it's beautiful and wonderful, but the premise is different, in my case. Besides, the food was expensive. I thought that Kakunodate was expensive at tourist spots, but it was up. It was delicious though. It was delicious, but was this a local dish of Akita? There is also something like ... There was a menu outside, but it was a clever mechanism that you wouldn't know if you didn't enter the price. The prices of the works of art and the food are balanced with what they offer, but I wasn't convinced by them in the first place, so I got the impression that I was sick.

The food was sweet to me overall. There are many paintings and exhibits that make you feel uncomfortable in an old private house, and it was said that it was a museum, but there is no sense of unity and it is an art that I cannot understand? was. I personally like dogs, but isn't it unsanitary for a restaurant to have a few cute little dogs running around the store? The shop was nice.

Owned and run by a Persian lady and her Japanese husband (chef). This is a jewel in kakunodate. A beautifully maintained (/restored) traditional Japanese house with upstairs museum and historical artefacts.

The hostess was very friendly and the house/museum was beautiful. We enjoyed the art and decorations. We went because the signs were very prominent in English about being "vegan". Upon arriving we find there is only one dish that is, and there is no English menu. Not normally an issue, but the signs hinted that there might be? We ordered the vegan meal, and found chicken in one of the side dishes. The noodles (while the broth and presentation were great!) were a bit overcooked. It also seemed pricy, but I don't know if maybe it is standard in this town. I would recommend stopping by for the charm, but don't expect anything vegan.

We went on an adventure on our favourite train in Akita last week and our destination was a restaurant in Kakunodate that we have been wanting to check out for a while. The draw for us was that they advertise vegan/vegetarian cuisine. Not that we are non-meat eaters, but we do support plant based options for health and also are interested in finding places that offer these options for our tour groups. We are quite surprised to find ourselves in a 400 year old building owned by a family with Iranian/Japanese roots that is part restaurant featuring traditional local Akita cuisine and part art museum featuring Iranian and Japanese pieces. It is probably the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been inside of and the menu offers both plant based and non-plant based options. Everything looked so good that I went with the tapa set course that offered a taste of almost everything on their menu. The food was delicious! A lot of pickled dishes as pickled foods are very popular in Akita as well as wild vegetables and fish. Everything has a bit of a sweet flavour to it and the presentation was, as expected in fine Japanese cuisine, beautiful. After ordering, we were invited to tour the building and enjoy the art. A mix of Japanese and Iranian art pieces that we were told had been collected by the grandfather of the lovely gentlemen serving us. We spent about 15 or 20 minutes touring the various rooms which was almost perfect timing for our food to arrive at the table. The staff all appeared to be from the family that owns the business and they were extremely friendly, engaging and spoke both Japanese and English. They took time to explain the history of the building as well as answered our questions about their family. Their is adequate seating for large groups and the menu is in both English and Japanese text so we will definitely be adding this place to our tour itineraries. Who wants to come and experience this amazing place with us?
