Kakizore Ravine - Kiso District

I visited Kakizore Valley on November 1st. This is not as famous as the Atera Valley, so there were no other tourists. Kakizore Ravine has a promenade along the river just beside the river where you can play in the water. The deep turquoise abyss is formed here and there and it is beautiful. The promenade is wide and maintained with wooden boards, making it very easy to walk. If you go further along the promenade, you will see a waterfall with a brave cow at the back. There is a huge difference in elevation to reach the observatory, but it is worth a look. It's about 20 minutes round trip from the parking lot, but in the end, I was able to close the waterfall without seeing anyone. It is inconvenient without a car, but it is recommended for those who like waterfalls.

There is a very beautiful waterfall called Ushiketaki, Basin is shining in a dark emerald green ✨ that I have to love at first sight You can be seen in about 10 minutes walk from the parking lot! Or there is a swaying bridge along the way, you enjoy a little adventure mood and or there are stairs ?

Although it is a short walking path, it is a comfortable and easy-going valley. Walk along a well-maintained walkway that runs right next to the river. The water of the river is so beautiful that you can walk to Ushiga Falls, which is the most interesting spot, in no time while you are fascinated by it. Many people think that this Ushiga Falls will be the goal of the walking path. The steep stairs to the observatory overlooking the waterfall are tough, but only a short distance away. Anyway, the water of the river is beautiful, so I think it is a good valley where you can easily and comfortably enjoy a petite hike at any time, such as fresh green in spring, colored leaves in autumn, etc., as well as in summer.

Also, although I wrote it as a road, there are quite a few branches along the way, and the navigation may show a very narrow road like a shortcut, so be careful. Basically, there was a guide version at the fork, so it feels like detouring a little according to it, but it is recommended to go on the Hidden Village Highway. From the parking lot, walk south on the paved road beside Mr. Ichikawa for about 5 minutes and you will find the entrance to the Kakizore Valley. If you go along a forest road from the entrance, you will find a suspension bridge, and if you cross it, you will find a so-called promenade along the Kakizore Valley. It doesn't seem to pass on a rainy day. (There was a detour) The road is easy to walk on the whole, but the stairs near Ushiga Falls, which can be said to be the highlight of the valley, have a fairly steep slope, which makes it difficult for small children. Also, the suspension bridge is quite swaying and thrilling (laughs). It seems that the standard route is to go back and forth from the valley entrance to Ushiga Falls, and it was like an hour while watching slowly. Anyway, the water was emerald green and beautiful, and the scenery that weaves with the rocks was a wonderful word. In addition, Ushiga Falls is very easy to see because you can see it relatively close without obstructing your view from the observatory. I felt that it was really worth seeing how the magnificent waterfall flowing out of the hollowed out rock was sucked into the emerald green basin. It was a wonderful sight. This Kakizore Valley is about 10 minutes by car from the famous Atera Valley. Perhaps because of that, I feel that the Kakizore Valley has few people and has a little-known charm. It was actually Saturday, but the people were sparse. However, the beauty of the emerald green water is not inferior to that of the Atera Valley, and it is well maintained and easy to see.
