旧牛窓警察署の本館を再利用していて外観はとても良かったです。

牛窓のだんじりは舟型です。海には浮かびませんが。
牛窓は江戸時代の朝鮮通信使の寄港地だったそうです。
昔は警察署であったそうです

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 元々は明治20年に建てられた岡山県警西大寺警察署の分署として建てられ、その後昭和52年まで牛窓警察署だった建物です。かなり趣きのある建物で、前には大きなソテツの木が植えられています。今は、江戸時代に立ち寄った朝鮮通信使と牛窓のだんじりに関する資料が展示されています。
Originally built as a branch office of the Okayama Prefectural Police Saidaiji Police Station, which was built in 1890, it was the Ushimado Police Station until 1977. It's a pretty quaint building with a large cycad tree in front of it. Now, materials related to the Joseon Tongsinsa and Ushimado Danjiri, who stopped by during the Edo period, are on display.
