The three Michelin stars are thoroughly deserved. This is one of the few Michelin starred restaurants in Tokyo that offers a decent selection of vegetarian (and optionally gluten free) dishes. Most of the fully vegetarian restaurants like Daigo are Showing Ryori style Japanese temple cuisine. This one is a welcome change from that. They have a whole vegetarian tasting menu. From the moment I made the reservation my experience with their service was outstanding. They wrote back to find out exactly what type of vegetarian I was and made sure they customised their menu for me. The maitre de, the waiters, the cost check staff, everybody was phenomenal. They were attentive without being obsequious. Knowledge and helpful. The food was among the best I've had in a restaurant. Our 8 course tasting meal took about 3 hours. The courses were ideally spaced. We also had infusions of bread and a selection from the cheese cart. In addition to the desert course, we could choose from the dessert cat, but were so full we passed on it. The taste, texture, small, temperature, colours and arrangement of the food was perfection. It's not cheap, for sure, but worth every Yen. I'm definitely going back.

First of all, the castle was very pretty from outside. After I went into the room, I was lost, and I do not know where I should go lol I wish the lighting could be brighter, so I could have prettier looking pictures. There are not a wow effect after I ate the food. They are all pretty, but no soul in the food.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will say that when you initially come in the entire experience reads as very stiff, almost to the point where you're not comfortable, but that feeling quickly dissipated with the food and drink. Also I had a fantastic waiter who was super friendly and kind and chatted with me (in Japanese although he speaks excellent English) when a coincidence meant that I was alone at the table while my companions were either in the bathroom or on a smoke break (you can smoke in the Rouge Bar). Also also the pick your own bread cart, cheese cart, desert cart, and chocolate/petit four cart are to die for. As for the food, the pictures speak for themselves:

I would have given 6 stars or 7 stars if it is possible ! Everything was perfect, from the presentation, taste, and service. The reason why they earned the michelin stars is undoubtedly because they put passion on every dishes. Definitely will come again next time I visit Tokyo.

Service was excellent. Appetizer and main dish was great. Waiters bring Bread cart, cheese cart, desert cart and sweet cart to you for you to choose. I wished I had twice sizes stomach. Memorable dining experience.

I have heard that Robuchon has the most Michelin Stars in the world, not sure if it is true, but Michelin 3 stars means that we must try it if possible. We chose the least expensive lunch set menu, Yen$12,000 per person and had the main course upgraded a bit. There were 4 carts, bread, deserts, cheese and chocolate, and you could choose whatever is on the carts and as much as you like, presumably! Of course, no one has that kind of appetite. They all looked really delicious and the ones we had were so. Our main courses were quite good too. Services were fantastic! CP was good! So why the 4 stars rating? Well, I didn't quite liked the decor, the tables were placed in a way that's not very "comfortable", maybe too close, or too many round tables, felt like we were all in a group lunch, not sure! Also, they have a bar right across the hall way and the cigarette smell was coming into the dining room periodically, and the hall way was filled with that too, terrible! All the guests had to go thru the hall way to get in and out and to the bathroom while enjoying some second hand smoke!

I visited last night for celebrating our wedding anniversary. My husband and I ordered 30,000 Yen A course with a glass of wine. Every staff speaks English very fluently. Services were perfect. Interior is absolutely stunning. Of course, food was amazing. It was truly the ultimate gastronomical experience that I never had.

Oh. My. God. What an amazing experience that was. We went there to celebrate our honeymoon and birthdays, needless to say that we weren't disappointed. We took the degustation menu, that was modified to our desire prior to our arrival (we don't eat pork). The communication with the restaurant through emails was easy and the menu was just as expected. The food was amazing, every dish was more surprising that the previous one. We were FULL to say the least. It exceeded our expectations and the restaurant's staff made sure that we'll have the best night. Let the pictures do the talking. Highly recommended.
