★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 郡上八幡は見どころも多く、街中すべてが名所のような街なので目立ちませんが、この慈恩禅寺、素晴らしい庭を持つ名刹です。
ゆっくりと訪れたい美しいお寺です。
 Gujo Hachiman has many attractions and is not noticeable because everything in the city is like a famous place, but this Jionzenji Temple is a famous temple with a wonderful garden.
It is a beautiful temple that you want to visit slowly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 案内の女性の声が品があり、その場を演出してくれる。他でも同じような、もしくはここ以上の庭園はいくらでも有るだろうが、苦難の歴史等を案内されると、また違った趣を感じた。
The voice of the female guide is elegant and directs the place. There may be many other gardens that are similar or better than this, but when I was guided through the history of hardships, I felt a different taste.

3回目の訪問
来週が紅葉のピークですかね。
庭園は割と回っていると思いますが、ここが一番綺麗。また、奥様が品と心遣いに溢れた素晴らしい方です。
駐車場がトンネルを抜けたコーナーにあるので出る際には注意してください。

I think the garden is relatively round, but this is the most beautiful. Also, his wife is a wonderful person full of elegance and consideration.
Please be careful when exiting as the parking lot is in the corner through the tunnel.

慶長11年(1606)郡上八幡城主遠藤慶隆が建立した臨済宗の寺院。
こちらの慈恩寺が所蔵する遠藤氏の系図に、郡上八幡城主遠藤盛数の娘が戦国武将で江戸幕府の土佐藩主山内一豊の妻(室)であるとの記載があったことなどから、初代郡上八幡城主遠藤盛数の娘であると云われている。
Rinzai Sect Myoshinji Temple Jionzenji Temple
A temple of the Rinzai sect built by Gujo Hachiman Castle owner Yoshitaka Endo in 1606.
The genealogy of Mr. Endo in the possession of Jionji Temple stated that the daughter of Gujo Hachiman Castle, the lord of the castle, was the wife (room) of Kazutoyo Yamauchi, the lord of the Tosa domain of the Edo Shogunate. It is said to be the daughter of Morizumi Endo, the lord of Gujo Hachiman Castle.

日本庭園に興味のある方にはおすすめします。
紅葉が進むともっと良い感じになりそうです。
水琴窟はよーく耳をすますと聞こえます。素晴らしい音でした。

Recommended for those who are interested in Japanese gardens.
It seems that it will feel better as the autumn leaves progress.
You can hear Suikinkutsu when you listen carefully. It was a great sound.

郡上八幡はもうほんとしょっちゅう来てますが、こんな素晴らしい庭園を持つ名刹があるとは今の今まで存じ上げませんでした。
京都のメジャーな名刹のような「これでも喰らえ！」的なインパクトある破壊力（？）はありませんが、こじんまりした風情がむしろ落ち着いた雰囲気を醸し出していて大変良いです。
紅葉も良いですが、むしろ何もない、人が少ない時に行くのが良いと思います。庭園を眺めながら自分と見つめあったりするのが最もふさわしい場所かも知れません。
あと、お世話いただくご婦人がとても穏やかで良い方です。

Gujo Hachiman has come all the time, but I have never known that there is a famous temple with such a wonderful garden.
It doesn't have the destructive power (?) That has the impact of "Eat this!" Like the major famous temples in Kyoto, but it is very good because the small atmosphere creates a rather calm atmosphere.
Autumn leaves are good, but I think it's better to go when there are few people. It may be the most suitable place to stare at yourself while looking at the garden.
Also, the lady who takes care of me is very calm and nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 庭園(荎草園)の紅葉を観に来訪しました。
11/13(土)現在、紅葉具合としては完全ではないですが結構見頃だと思います。
逆に1週間後だと散り出してるかもしれません。
京都以外で庭園からの紅葉を楽しみたいならば、ここはかなりオススメです。
有名ではありますが、混雑も他の有名スポットに比べれば全然ないと思いますので快適に行けますし、過ごせます。
お寺の奥様はじめ全員とても丁寧で親切です。
紅葉情報がネットで載っていないので、電話してお聞きすれば、快く状況をお伝え頂けるので、遠方から来る方はそうした方が良いかもしれません。
I visited to see the autumn leaves in the garden (Sakusoen).
As of 11/13 (Sat), the condition of the autumn leaves is not perfect, but I think it is in full bloom.
On the contrary, it may be scattered after one week.
If you want to enjoy the autumn leaves from the garden outside of Kyoto, this is highly recommended.
Although it is famous, I think it is less crowded than other famous spots, so you can go comfortably and spend time.
Everyone, including the wife of the temple, is very polite and kind.
Since the autumn leaves information is not posted on the net, you can easily tell the situation by calling and listening, so it may be better for those who come from afar.
