中	中小路朋明 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山形を代表する寺院の一つ宿泊した宿の案内でその存在を知りました。若松という名称に会津出身の知人は歓喜。宿のチェックアウト後に脇目もくれず向かいました。お寺までは天童市街を離れ山道をひた走ります。冬季は雪などが積もると思われますので冬タイヤは必須かと。若松寺．．．読み方は「じゃくしょうじ」「わかまつでら」でないことに知人はトーンダウンしていましたがそれを差し引いても素晴らしいお寺でした。参道に入ると出店があるのですがここでは力こんにゃくならぬ玉こんにゃくを購入できます。山寺の力こんにゃくと言いなぜに山形はこんにゃく押しなのか？甚だ疑問です。こちらの寺院ですが縁結びで有名らしく西は出雲大社、東は若松寺と称されるほど。お寺の先に続く坂道を登れば開けた展望スポットがあり天童の町並みを一望できます。山道を登ることになるため天気がいい日に参拝したいですね。 One of the representative temples of Yamagata I learned about its existence from the information about the inn where I stayed. T	Toshihiko Yano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 地元天童の信仰が篤く集まるお寺。山形の山寺らしく天台宗。縁結びの観音様として有名だそうだが、それがフューチャーされ過ぎている感はある。お寺もそれに乗っかってるのかも知れないが。お寺全体は若干寂れが見える。国重文が３つある。観音堂、観音像懸仏、あと神馬図。観音堂は見つけるに迷わないが、観音像懸仏が判りづらい。観音堂に上がって右側の奥、格子の向う側にある。円形の銅板に仏様が貼られていて、遠くから見ると小さい。重文マニアならば見落とし注意。 A temple where the worship of local Tendo gathers. I have to say it was nice but didn't really blow me away. There is a great view of the fields below, though, and you can walk through the forest above the temple to see the wild plants and mushrooms.
