★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 天正17年伊達政宗勢が会津に攻め入ってきた時、五十嵐和泉守道正の城、河原崎城（和泉田城）での戦いで800人の兵士達が討死した場所です。この惨劇の後、旧伊南村にある久川城の河原田氏らは、伊達軍の攻撃に耐えることができたのだそうです。その理由の１つは、この河原崎城（和泉田城）の攻城戦で多くの戦死者が出たため、その後の軍事活動に支障をきたしたことが挙げられ、和泉田城はこれらの城の、捨石になったと言われています。駐車場から約20分、ジグザグの細い急な山道を登ると、頂上にたどり着きます。和泉田地区を一望できる静かな公園です。
