m	mi s on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2022年3月訪問。伊豆急の駅の中では結構大きな駅かも？とてもキレイです。小さめなショッピングモール？と一緒になっていて、食事が出来るお店やカフェがいくつもあります。海鮮などのお土産屋さんもあり。ほとんどのお土産屋さんは17時で閉店のようですが、改札前のお土産屋さんだけは17:30閉店。お食事処は夜も営業しているようです。改札横に待合室もあり。最終の踊り子号(サフィール踊り子)乗車でも、飲み物など買えてありがたかったです。駅の外に出ると足湯もあります。 Visited in March 2022. It may be a fairly large station among the Izukyu stations. It's very beautiful. A small shopping mall? There are many shops and cafes where you can eat. There are also souvenir shops such as seafood. Most souvenir shops seem to close at 17:00, but only the souvenir shops before the ticket gate close at 17:30. The restaurant seems to be open at night as well. There is also a waiting room next to the ticket gate. I was grateful that I could buy drinks even when I got on the final Odoriko (Safir Odoriko). There is also a footbath when you go out of the station.

The station has been modernized because of the great number of tourists stopping there. It is also one of the rare stations on this line equipped for limited mobility travelers. For railway buffs: Izu-Kōgen Station opened on December 10, 1961. Izu-Kōgen Station consists of a side platform and an island platform serving three tracks.
K	Kathryn Kremer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This station does not accommodate credit cards, nor does it have an ATM. Unbelievable! If you are out of cash, you must walk with all your luggage down stairs, then uphill to 7-11 to withdraw cash. Quite inconvenient!
K	Koji Schroeder on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The town is beautiful and quaint. If you're looking for a place to go swimming, then you will only find a medium size pool by the rocks. It's known by the locals as the "fishing area/pool". You can jump off the rocks into the open sea or into the pool. The pool is fairly deep and you can see fish. It's a 10-min walk/hike from the train station.
