芸備線と系統上は福塩線が乗り入れる三次市の代表駅でかつては三江線の起点。駅舎前の単式ホームと島式ホームの2面3線で、その間に中線がある。そこにDE10 1076とチキ5200形2両の工臨が停まっていた(2017年9月)。

駅は結構きれいでした。昔は三江線がこの駅から江津駅まで通ってましたが最近廃線になったので今は芸備線と福塩線が走ってます。 もちろんICOCAは使えないが駅員さんがいる模様。
The station was pretty clean. In the past, the Sanko Line passed from this station to Gotsu Station, but since it has recently been discontinued, the Geibi Line and Fukuen Line are now running. Of course ICOCA cannot be used, but it seems that there are station staff.

駅自体は大きいですが、待合室が狭くて驚いた。前はもっと広かったと思ったけど。セブンも撤退して、みどりの窓口もなくなり、どんどん寂しくなってる気がします。みどりの券売機は設置されましたが、使いこなしてる人は殆どいなく、結局、駅員が手伝っていたので意味ないですね。高速バス乗り場の方が広くて賑わってました。1日2本しかない快速列車が次の改正でなくならなければいいのですが…。微妙かな? 他の方のクチコミにある、態度の悪いデフな駅員に合わなかったのは幸いでした。
The station itself is big, but I was surprised that the waiting room was small. I thought it was wider before. With the withdrawal of Seven, the green window has disappeared, and I feel that I'm getting lonely. A green ticket vending machine was installed, but few people were able to use it well, and in the end, it was meaningless because the station staff helped. The highway bus stop was wider and more crowded. I hope that the rapid train, which has only two trains a day, will not be the next revision ... Is it subtle? I was fortunate that I didn't meet the bad-mannered, defensive station staff in the reviews of other people.

広島県北部の交通の要衝で芸備線と福塩線の乗換駅、朝の1本を除き列車は当駅始発となっている。駅舎内には待合室、売店があって列車待ち時にべ便利(ホーム上にも待合室あり)。駅周辺は三次市街となっており利用客は少なくない。2015年に駅前に三次バスセンターが移転してきて、路線バスや高速バスが各方面に接続している(こちらのほう発着本数が多い気が)。
Trains depart from this station except at the transfer station on the Geibi Line and Fukushio Line, which is one of the transportation hubs in the northern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. There is a waiting room and a shop inside the station building, which is convenient when waiting for a train (there is also a waiting room on the platform). The area around the station is a tertiary city, and there are many passengers. The Miyoshi Bus Center moved to the front of the station in 2015, and route buses and highway buses are connecting to various destinations (I think there are more departures and arrivals).

備北の重要な駅。しかし、夜は駅のセブンイレブン含めて全てが閉まっています。駅の機能的にはバス停も近く、移動には便利です。あと、トイレが綺麗です。ホテル、市役所はやや歩いてしまうのが不満な点。深夜は国道54号線を車で三次駅→広島駅まで約90分ほどです。とにかく何もない駅ですが、非常にわかりやすいので星⭐️4としました。
An important station in Bikita. However, at night, everything is closed, including Seven-Eleven at the station. The station is functionally close to the bus stop, making it convenient for transportation. Also, the toilet is clean. I'm dissatisfied with walking around the hotel and city hall. At midnight, it takes about 90 minutes by car from Miyoshi Station to Hiroshima Station on Route 54. Anyway, it's a station with nothing, but it's very easy to understand, so I chose 4 stars.

キハ120系がおるよ。見に来てね。運よければカープ列車と会えるよ。待ち時間のあいだ、同じ列車に乗る方が駅入り口にセブンイレブンがあったけど、閉まっていたとか。 地上駅 。跨線橋を渡り2番3番乗り場かあります。 そして、JR三次駅全体を大きくまたぐ形で三次駅南北自由通が三次駅すぐそばにあります。エレベーター付のバリアフリー。 ここから三次駅構内を止まってる気動車達を眺めるのに良い場所かもと思います。 交通系ICカードは使えず、切符を買う形です。

芸備線と福塩線が発着する有人駅です。 ここから芸備線広島方面は1時間に1本ほど列車がありますが、芸備線備後落合方面と福塩線は1日数本気動車が発着する閑散区間となっています。 駅には高速バスも発着し、バスの方が便利かもしれません
It is a manned station where the Geibi Line and Fukuen Line depart and arrive. From here, there is about one train per hour on the Geibi Line towards Hiroshima, but the Geibi Line towards Bingo-Ochiai and the Fukuen Line are quiet sections where several diesel trains arrive and depart a day. Highway buses also arrive and depart at the station, so the bus may be more convenient

旧三江線視点で書いてます。 三次(終点)ー尾関山 三江線のあった0番線は碑を残して面影もありません。 芸備線の横に沿って江津方面への尾関山までの線路はや市内に走る路線は(2022年1月時点)でも残存。 市内の高架線路は貴重で、今でも三江線の面影を見る事が出来る。 個人的にこの地域は自然が豊かで川や山、島根まで行けば海もある、幸豊かな場所で住民の方は誇っても良いと思います。 線路としての役目は年々微妙になっている、高速が通リ車やバスの方が早く利便性は良い。

The elevated railroad tracks in the city are valuable, and you can still see the remnants of the Sanko Line.
