★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 茨城空港(自衛隊百里基地)のすぐそばで、非常に見晴らしの良い場所にあります。幹線道路から狭い砂利道を通り、区分けされた駐車場もありません。
一方で、無人だからこそ神聖な感じがします。また、鳥居がかなり大きく、神道の幅が広いです。
 It is right next to Ibaraki Airport (Self-Defense Forces Hyakuri Base) and has a very good view. There is no separate parking lot from the main road through the narrow gravel road.
On the other hand, it feels sacred because it is unmanned. In addition, the torii gate is quite large and the width of Shinto is wide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 茨城空港東南に隣接した紋谷池脇の高台に鎮座していらっしゃる神社です。おそらくは，水源である紋谷池の守り神だったのでしょうか。しかし，茨城空港建設に伴い，野趣あふれる紋谷池は水を抜かれ護岸工事がなされ，今のようにいかにもの人工池となってしまいました。池の南側は紋谷池緑地広場ですが，コンクリートのテーブルと切り株を模したベンチいくつかが申し訳ばかりに置かれた場所となっています。これらを見下ろす厳島神社の境内は，鳥居と社号標，そして社殿が鎮座していらっしゃるわけですが，そう古くは見えませんので，もしかしたら元はもっと池の近くにあって，空港建設に伴って遷宮・改築造営されたのかも知れません。
It is a shrine that sits on a hill next to Monya Ikewaki, which is adjacent to the southeastern part of Ibaraki Airport. Perhaps it was the guardian deity of Monya Pond, the water source. However, with the construction of Ibaraki Airport, the wild Monya Pond was drained and revetment work was done, and it has become an artificial pond as it is now. The south side of the pond is the Monya Pond Green Square, which is a place where concrete tables and some benches imitating stumps are apologized. In the precincts of Itsukushima Shrine overlooking these, the torii gate, the company name mark, and the shrine are enshrined, but it does not look so old, so maybe it was originally closer to the pond, and with the construction of the airport It may have been relocated and rebuilt.
