I did my surgery at this hospital and it was very well succeeded. Ever since the day I started coming to this hospital the staff and the doctors each and everyone were very helpful and kind. As a foreigner living in Japan alone, they gave the best care for me whenever I visit the hospital. Finally two days before my surgery was done and it was well succeeded. Before and after care of nurse staff I appreciate so much. The Doctor who did my surgery is a well qualified specialist and very kind too. To me he is like a God. This hospital cares about their patients with so much respect and kindness. 24hour nurse staff service and their kind helpfulness made me wonder. I would say this is the best hospital in Japan if you have any thyroid disease. I feel I'm so blessed that I could do my surgery from this hospital. I haven't even discharged yet but I wanted people who suffer from thyroid diseases to know about this wonderful great place where you can have a new life without any fear or doubt.

Well if you are able to stay 2 hours in a Line to have 1min with the doctor, go for it...

Doctor speaks native English. There's no worry for foreigners coming here. For people who come the first time, I'd highly recommend to download questionnaire form from hospital's website and fill it beforehand. It would save much of your time. Waiting time might be a bit long (1hour and a half for my case) if you came at late time in the morning.

I have been a patient here for 4 years. While the doctor I have been assigned speaks some English (lower intermediate or less), I am not sure what the level of their listening comprehension is when I speak to the doctor... The rest of the staff don't speak English in my experience, but they do try to communicate and are kind. However, and no matter what time I go during different weekdays, it's always at least 5 hours till I can leave -or more. The consultation with the doctor is always LESS than A MINUTE, even when medication is changed and I would like to check things with the doctor or let them know what's going on, it's 15-30 seconds, no joke, which is for me unheard of... Not sure I would recommend it, but all Japanese people say it's "the" place to get treatment for thyroid...

Spent 5 hours mostly waiting, from reception at around 9:45am, a short 5 minutes consultation with the doctor, blood test and ultrasound test. The online queue system was nice, you can access it by scanning the QR code from the queue slip. It gives a count of people ahead of you in the queue, so you can estimate when to go back. I spent the time having lunch at a nearby cafe, walking around Omotesando. I would probably bring a laptop and work at the nearby Starbucks next time.

The receptionists, nurses and doctor I encountered are all very kind and helpful. Since there are several hundred patients every day, the waiting time is long. However, I can wait at a nearby cafe and check my queue through a mobile phone. The hospital system is quite efficient. I’m deeply grateful that Ito hospital is running as usual despite the pandemic.

I am not sure if there is any way I can give more than 5 stars .I came from India three years back here in Japan .As per our IT company policy , I underwent yearly medical check up and followed by which I was detected with papillary carcinoma. Hearing the news , I was in shock and not able to believe and was thinking to travel back to India for surgery 'Total Thyroidectomy' . But after multiple discussions with project colleagues ,friends and family , I decided to get my surgery done in Japan-Tokyo ITO Hospital. Right from the day of surgery till the day of discharge , it was like a 5 star stay with all amenities available .I am blessed to be guided under 'Doctor Kiyomi Hames' with whom I have communicated in English and still I am doing very good under her suggested treatment plan. The best thing is I was given absolutely less than 10 painkillers during my stay and was motivated by nurse and head staff to bear the post surgery pain as much as possible instead of taking painkillers which may sounds relief for a short spell but has an adverse long term effects. Even before my surgery , during my visit to hospital I was very nervous but still got uplifted morally to the best I can experience. Regarding my hospital stay and surgical process , its all about tremendous precision and care for patients that I have experienced in ITO Hospital. Whether its Hospital expenses or the services or treatment plan , ITO Hospital has best to deliver in all the departments. Being a foreigner , I was treated with full care and passion and still today I am under regular checkups getting the best treatment possible. If you are a foreigner in Japan in need of medical treatment related to thyroid(however complex or serious it is), you know where to go. I heard people visiting other countries and having a great time and experiences. If you ask me , I got a second chance in life .

Very long waiting hours, but good that they have translation’s service. By the way, they only take cash or J-debit(this is not a common debit card from everywhere). My Rakuten debit(cash card) didn’t work.
