★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What are usually go there I am in and out in a jiffy. I’ve never been there in the morning and they usually go in the afternoon. If you are looking for people work for your visa, make sure that you know exactly what you need because I had trouble once getting the correct paperwork. Other than that, all my other experiences really good ones.

Huge building. Easy to get to by JR or subway. Clean and warm inside.
Staff at the info desks spoke English and were very polite and helpful. The forms were unexpectedly in English with samples provided.
The counter staff didn't speak English but she had a English printout of the questions she was asking and pointed to them when I didn't understand.
Whole process was painless and only took an hour :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Tokyo most city's hall offices are confortable and clean. Itabashi-ku is no exception. Even 20 minutes before opening, the staff is already there and start working by the exact minute. While you wait there will be calming music and everything is done quickly and smoothly. Often, as in the case of itabashi-ku, those offices are directly connected to the metro station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time before I go here I call and ask what documents I need to bring and when I should go. The last three times I have gone to city hall I was told I don't have the right documents or that it's too early/too late to get what I need done. I brought what I was told to bring and went when I was told I should go. It's extremely frustrating and unprofessional! I hope this city hall trains its staff so they can help residents in the future instead of giving wrong information.
