 It stores snow and uses it for eco-coolers in the summer. I'm worried that the amount of snow stored in 2020 will be less than usual this summer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雪調の沿革や暮らしについての展示が中心。雪についての科学的な展示は最低限しかないです。
照明すら灯っておらず体育倉庫の様に暗かったです。
It mainly focuses on the history of snow and life. There is only a minimum scientific exhibition about snow.
Even the lights were not lit and it was dark like a physical education warehouse.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ いかにも公営な資料館ですが、雪国以外の人には一見の価値ありと思います。
中では、雪国の暮らし、新庄周辺における雪国救済運動の歴史を見ることが出来ます。
雪国においては割と普通の事だったりするのかもしれないですが、私含めそれ以外の地域の人にとっては雪国での暮らしを垣間見ることが出来るなかなか見ごたえある施設であると思いました。
Although it is a public museum, it is worth seeing for people outside of the snowy country.
Inside, you can see the history of snow country life and the history of the snow country relief movement around Shinjo.
It may be a normal thing in the snowy country, but I thought that it was a fascinating facility for people in other areas, including me, to get a glimpse of life in the snowy country.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 出張のついでに初来館。雪害という言葉がある人物の努力により認知され、この館の前身の建物ができたとのこと。合わせて雪にまつわる様々な歴史を知ることができました。

せめて来館があったとき、照明だけでもつけてほしい。
