L	Lucas Bloom on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never seen so many creatures of the sea mistreated to this scale. Please do not waste your money supporting this inhumane facility. Maybe 5% of the animals have the correct housing and space. The worst cases are the walrus, sea lions, sea turtle and sharks. Guinea pigs were cute at least.

The staff seemed to care very much for the animals and did the best with the environment they were given to work with. But, the aquarium was not good. The animals (specifically the sea lions, walruses, and the sawfish) were way too big for the spaces they were given- some of them couldn’t even turn around fully. That, and it wasn’t the cleanest either. Please don’t support this place if you can help it!
K	Kelsey Brown on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This aquarium isn’t great. It’s not even good. The animals have no space to move, and the entire facility seems very run down and dirty. In particular, the mammals and some of the larger fish/turtles could barely turn around in their enclosures and acted incredibly restless. They were keeping a sawfish in a tank so small it could barely move its head, and axolotyls were literally being kept in mason jars. I do want to mention that the staff seemed to be doing their best with a bad situation, and I don’t blame them at all. It’s just a run down aquarium that really needs better living environments for its animals, and unless that happens, please don’t support this attraction.

B	Beth S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT GO HERE! Most zoos and aquariums in Japan are horrifically cruel but this is probably one of the worst I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. (i was dragged along against my will). The enclosures are tiny and bare. Large, wild mammals are forced to perform unnatural and uncomfortable tricks in front of loud crowds, and subjected to being manhandled by visitors. The otter and dolphin in particular were displaying very clear signs of madness and depression. Please please please do not support this cruel treatment of animals. I am absolutely shocked and appalled that none of the Japanese reviewers see anything wrong with this.

D	Dan Tinsley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was tough to be honest. First of all, the staff themselves get 5 stars. They obviously cared about and were very vested in doing their best for the animals and visitors. The aquarium itself has seen better days... A little worn down in places but again, the staff keep it clean and operational. I have to say though that I was very saddened by the size of the enclosures that the exhibits were kept in - larger fish could not turn around, turtles we're in tanks far too small for them, and the two dolphins were kept in a tiny pen which bordered on the heartbreaking. I I hope that the management can be supported to make some changes for the good of the animals and for the visitors
