★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Naiku is the inner shrine of the Ise Jingu and the outer one is Geku. They are Shinto’s most sacred shrine and therefore it is a very historic and fascinating place. The shrine is unique and one thing that was interesting is that Geku and Naiku are both rebuilt every 20 years according to Shinto beliefs. The entire place is very spiritual, located in a beautiful part of Japan. I highly recommend visiting Ise Jingu (Geku and Naiku).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has a mystical and magical feeling.It's like kyoto version but more sacred.You are not allowed to take pictures at the main spot. You can choose to walk 4km or 1km.

God of the Sun is here ( Yang) very peaceful, powerful and beautiful.
Many people visit here to make a wish or when they have new start or to give their gratitude.
The order to visit this sacred shrine is
1. Go to the ocean to purify body mind
2. Visit the outside temple
3. Visit the inside temple
After that you can enjoy the great food and shopping around the shrine

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overly busy but large a beautiful. Lots to explore. The Shuin is very interesting and plain. Not wheelchair friendly at all though which makes me sad. It’s all gravel. I’ve been to smaller shrines with better access. The cherry blossoms and fun to see. Parking is 1hr free, but then ¥500 thereafter. Better to park at the Geku shrine and bus over if you plan to check out the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's so peaceful and impressive nature. But when I visited, all the shop in shopping street closed at early time, about 4 pm? So I recommend u should go to Ise grand shrine at early time. And keep in mind the last bus was about 6

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my in-laws to the shrine when they visited us from USA. It has a nice atmosphere, and they were holding some ritual event on the day we visited. It was a nice walk, and they were happy about its traditional feeling and chickens walking around.

There is a bus service until 6pm from iseshi station ?
Also you can enjoy street foods and the regional culture.
