★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 一歩通行の細い道路に囲まれた中にあって、 巨木だけが見えていて 場所はわかるが、 どこから入っていくのかが分かりにくい。 住宅密集地とあって境内も狭く、本殿も小さいものだった。 由緒書きも何もないので どのような神社かはさっぱりわからない。 名前からすると 漢字の通りの、 農耕民達が大昔から 鎮守社として祀ってきたのかもしれない。
It is surrounded by a narrow road with only one step, and you can see only the giant trees. You can see the location, but it is difficult to know where to enter. The precincts were narrow, and the main shrine was small. I don't know what kind of shrine it is because there is no history. Judging from the name, the farmers may have been worshiped as shrines since ancient times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この神社の祭神は安倍晴明であるが、呪術者としての側面ではなく、天文学者の始祖として祀られている。要するに晴明の子孫である土御門家の庇護下にあったと考えられる神社だそうです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 安倍晴明の子孫で、代々「陰陽頭」を務めた土御門邸は梅小路にあった。稲住神社と、近くの西寺唐橋公園横にある鍵達稲荷神社は共に梅小路土御門邸の鎮守社であった。稲住神社本殿の祭神は安倍晴明･稲住龍王･稲住弁財天の三柱。また境内内には鞍馬山魔王尊も祀られている。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 細い通路に入った、小さな祠が在るだけの神社で見る様な物は特に有りません。只、神社が在る為なのか、この細い通路は下京区内では珍しく、僅かに坂道になってます。 余談ですが、細い通路の入り口に在る銭湯「稲住湯」が今年７月20日をもって廃業されました。昭和の初期から続けられてたそうです。ガスで無く木材を燃料にされていて管理が大変そうでした。この辺りは地下水に恵まれていたそうで銭湯が幾つか有ったのですが、殆んど無くなってしまいました。

観光神社では有りませんが、調べると凄い神社です。
梅小路公園の西の住宅地に稲住神社(いなづみ じんしゃ)はある。かつてこの地には、平安時代の陰陽師・安倍晴明につながる土御門家の邸宅があった。陰陽道は、6世紀に百済より日本に伝えられた。その後、賀茂氏、安倍氏により大成され、やがて土御門家が継承した。
近代以前、この地には池があり、広場では農家が稲束を積んだことから、社名も稲住(いなづみ)になったという。
祭神は安倍晴明を祀る。

Inazumi Shrine is located in a residential area west of Umekoji Park. There used to be a residence of the Tomimon family who was connected to the Onmyoji and Seimei Abe during the Heian period. Yin and Yang were introduced to Japan from Baekje in the 6th century. After that, it was succeeded by Mr. Kamo and Mr. Abe. ‥
Before modern times, there was a pond in this area, and farmers piled up rice bunches in the open space, so the company name was changed to Inazumi.
The deity enshrines Seimei Abe.
