駐車場無く、またこの石段は道路ぎわ直ぐなので、注意が必要ですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 霞ヶ浦湖畔北側の八木蒔集落の背後の崖上，一の鳥居から真っ直ぐ急な石段をせっせと登るとやがて重々しき木の両部鳥居。さらに石段を登るとお狐様と社殿が鎮座する境内にたどり着きます。石段途中には「稲荷山古墳群第一号墳」の立札があり，稲荷神社境内自体がが前方後円墳「稲荷山古墳」の後円部の墳頂に当たります。
残念ながら御由緒など不詳ですが，集落の氏子の方々から尊崇されていらっしゃること，境内のよく清掃されているところからも明らかです。
On the cliff behind the Yakimaki village on the north side of Lake Kasumigaura, when you climb the steep stone steps straight from the first torii gate, you will soon find a heavy wooden torii gate. If you climb the stone steps further, you will reach the precincts where the fox and the shrine are enshrined. In the middle of the stone steps, there is a sign for "Inariyama Kofun Group No. 1", and the precincts of Inari Shrine itself correspond to the top of the keyhole-shaped tumulus "Inariyama Kofun".
Unfortunately, the history is unknown, but it is clear from the fact that it is revered by the village's parishioners and that the precincts are well cleaned.
