★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三つの尾根の交差点に位置し、平成20年まで現役だったという山岳民家です。現在は檜原村によって修復管理され、定休日以外はガイドの方が見学時間内は常駐しています。ガイドの方はとても親切で、気になるところをピンポイントで説明してくれます。
藤倉のバス停をのぼった先に駐車場とモノレール乗り場があり、行きは徒歩を選択しました。約25分と書いてありますが、なかなかの急こう配を登っていくので休み休みいくのが吉です。そして、自分の足で登っていくことで小林家住宅を見た時の感動が増すとともに、かつての暮らしにしみじみとします。
むらさきつつじは、小林家の方々が植えて、それが現在にも残っているそうです。花の季節にまた訪問したいです。帰りにガイドの方がカモシカがみれるかもしれないよと仰っていたのですが、モノレール沿い、目の前に黒い子供のカモシカが現れ、ガイドの方と一緒に驚きました。
 Located at the intersection of three ridges, it is a mountain private house that was active until 2008. Currently, it is restored and managed by Hinohara Village, and a guide is resident during the tour hours except on regular holidays. The guide is very kind and will give you a pinpoint explanation of what you are interested in.
There is a parking lot and a monorail platform just up the Fujikura bus stop, so I chose to go on foot. It says that it takes about 25 minutes, but it's a good idea to take a rest as it climbs a steep slope. By climbing with your own feet, you will be more impressed when you see the Kobayashi family's house, and you will be familiar with your old life.
The Murasaki Azalea was planted by the Kobayashi family, and it is said that it still remains today. I would like to visit again during the flower season. On the way back, the guide said that he might see an antelope, but a black child's antelope appeared in front of me along the monorail, and I was surprised with the guide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東京都の山地の民家で、村内最古の民家と言われています。標高約750ｍほどの南斜面に建つ建物で重要文化財指定されています。山岳地帯の尾根沿いに建っており、訪れるには急な斜面を登っていくか、予約制のモノレール（無料）に乗車するかどちらかになります。私は往路はモノレールで帰りは歩きました。モノレールは結構怖いです。また、建物は立派です。
It is said to be the oldest private house in the village in a mountainous area of Tokyo. The building is located on the southern slope at an altitude of about 750m and is designated as an important cultural property. Built along a ridge in the mountains, you can either climb a steep slope or visit the monorail (reservation required) to visit. I took a monorail on the way out and walked on the way back. The monorail is pretty scary. Also, the building is magnificent.

② Fujikura Bus Stop ~ (about 1.5km) Sokakuzawa ~ (40 minutes on foot, quite steep slope)

行き来する交通手段がモノレール。急斜面の上り下りは迫力満点でした。
An old folk house built in Irimoya. The thatched roof is wonderful.
The means of transportation to and from is the monorail. The ups and downs of the steep slopes were impressive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ まず、小林家に行くためのモノレールが無料ということに驚き。約10分、最大傾斜角43度というスリルを味わえます。
事前予約は必要ですが、係の方も丁寧な対応ですし、説明ガイドもしていただけました。
重要文化財の小林家も綺麗に管理されていて、江戸時代から続く古民家を感じる事ができました。
真夏でしたが、屋内には涼しい風が入ってきて快適。
First of all, I was surprised that the monorail to go to the Kobayashi family was free. You can enjoy the thrill of a maximum tilt angle of 43 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Advance reservations are required, but the person in charge was also polite and provided an explanation guide.
The Kobayashi family, which is an important cultural property, is also well managed, and I could feel the old folk house that has been around since the Edo period.
It was midsummer, but the cool breeze came in indoors and it was comfortable.

Nice place for a weekend day trip out of Tokyo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monorail is more intimidating then it looks. Very friendly staff and amazing look into how Japanese people have lived for 100’s of years. You are also able to eat lunch inside the house which is an experience I highly recommend. However it is hard to access without a car since you will have to hike for 1.5km from the bus station to the monorail station.
