ホームの雰囲気がとても良い駅だった。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR米坂線と山形鉄道フラワー長井線が分岐・合流する駅。ここから西へはしばらく両線が同じ線路を共有する。それぞれが島式ホームを1面ずつ使用している。
Station where JR Yonezaka Line and Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line branch and merge. From here to the west, both lines share the same track for a while. Each uses one island platform.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 米坂線とフラワー長井線の合流分岐駅。ただ駅前は栄えてません。近くに店なども見当たりません。駅前にコンビニ在るといいのに。
A confluence branch station of the Yonesaka Line and Flower Nagai Line. However, the station front is not prosperous. I can't find any stores nearby. I wish there was a convenience store in front of the station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR米坂線と山形鉄道フラワー長井線の乗り換え駅。乗継時間は３分しかないのだが跨線橋を渡ればそこはもう別会社。この日はJRが３分ほど遅れたのだが，フラワー長井線はちゃんと待っていてくれました。そんなほのぼのとした駅・・・と言っていいのかな。フラワー長井線ホームが２線，JRも２線ありフラワー長井線はここですれ違うようだ。(2018/8訪問)
A transfer station for the JR Yonesaka Line and the Yamagata Railway Flower Nagai Line. The connecting time is only 3 minutes, but if you cross the overpass, it will be another company. JR was delayed by about 3 minutes on that day, but the Flower Nagai Line was waiting for me. I wonder if it can be said that such a heartwarming station. There are 2 lines on the Flower Nagai Line platform and 2 lines on the JR line, and the Flower Nagai Line seems to pass each other here. (Visit 2018/8)

Yamagata Railway and Yonesaka Line stations. There was quiet air, but there were many railroad fans.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 作家の宮脇俊三さんが玉音放送を聞いた駅です（「時刻表2万キロ」より）。
映画「この世界の片隅に」を試聴しながら米坂線の乗り潰しをしていたら、この駅で20分ほど停車。自分もこの駅で映画の中の玉音放送を聴くことになりました。
歴史を感じる雰囲気の良いホームであったため、フラワー長井線の1両編成の気動車の鉄道むすめの車両デザインがますます浮いて感じられました。
跨線橋から坂町方面を眺めたときの景色が素晴らしかったです。
冬に訪れることをお勧めいたします。
This is the station where the writer Shunzo Miyawaki heard the Jewel Voice Broadcast (from "Timetable 20,000 km").
If I was crushing the Yonesaka Line while listening to the movie "In This Corner of the World", I stopped at this station for about 20 minutes. I also decided to listen to the Jewel Voice Broadcast in the movie at this station.
Because it was a home with a nice historical atmosphere, the vehicle design of the railroad daughter of the 1-car train of the Flower Nagai Line was more and more floating.
The view from the overpass to Sakamachi was wonderful.
We recommend visiting in winter.

It is a station where you can transfer between the Yonesaka Line and the Flower Nagai Line. The taste of the very retro JNR era remains here and there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ フラワー長井線とＪＲ米坂線が乗り入れる今泉駅を訪れました。
駅舎から跨線橋を渡ってそれぞれのホームへ行きます。大正時代に開業した当時の旧き良き時代を想い起こさせるホームがいいね！
今泉駅はJR東日本との共同駅ですが、１９１４年（大正３年）にフラワー長井線の前身である長井軽便線の長井～梨郷駅間開業時に開業しました。
米坂線の米沢～今泉間の開業は１９２６年（大正１５年）なので、長井線の今泉駅の方が早く開業していたのですね。
I visited Imaizumi Station, where the Flower Nagai Line and JR Yonesaka Line run.
From the station building, cross the overpass and go to each platform. I like the home that reminds me of the good old days when it opened in the Taisho era!
Imaizumi Station is a joint station with JR East, but it opened in 1914 (Taisho 3) when the Nagai Light Flight Line, the predecessor of the Flower Nagai Line, opened between Nagai and Ringo Station.
The Yonesaka Line between Yonezawa and Imaizumi opened in 1926 (Taisho 15), so Imaizumi Station on the Nagai Line opened earlier, didn't it?
