吉坂堡塁は極東への膨張政策をとるロシアへの備えとして整備された舞鶴要塞群の一角です（広報紙より抜粋）最近、高浜町が調査を実施して全容が明らかになったらしく、周辺は整備されてきれいになっています。道中も草木を伐採してあり、とても歩きやすくなっており、ハイキング気分で歩くことができます。分かれ道が途中で何度かありますが、杉森神社の左脇の道からとにかく上を目指して歩いて行けば大人の足で３０分程度で到着することができます。水路や弾薬庫、砲台跡など、当時の様子を想像できるくらい立派な状態で残されています。カメラの電池が途中で切れてしまったので写真は数枚しか撮れなかったのと、どうやら見つけ切らなかった施設もあるっぽいのでリベンジもう一度行ってみようと思います。

The waterways, ammunition depots, battery remains, etc. are left in a state that can be imagined at that time. I could only take a few pictures because the battery of the camera ran out in the middle, and it seems that there are some facilities that I could not find, so I will try revenge again.
